well, Avonhead – is nicknamed ‘asianhead’ (pretty mean but thats where a lot of Asians live!)
‘Rolly’ – Rollerston, which is just outta town
‘Hack’ – near the bus exchange in city centre where all the emos and goths hang!
‘the strip’ – A big strip of restaurants and bars next to the avon river on oxford terrace
okay, soz that probly ddnt really help at all! But i don’t think there is any sayings or quotes that are particular to Chch.

There is a saying that Cantabrians are all one eyed…..in that they support Canterbury 100%…..in that they are very proud of cantabrians, especially in sport eg Robbie Deans, Crusaders and Canterbury ( all rugby)…….The fact that Canterbury just won the Air NZ cup is something they will be proud of!!!

Saying “Isn’t it great that Robbie has moved on from the Crusaders? They really need new blood coaching them.” should get you killed.
Seeing as Canterbury just won the AirNZ cup, anything in favour of either of their rugby teams will go down a treat.
