I stayed in Sumner … I stayed in Sumner at the Marine Backpackers on Nayland Street. I highly recommend it to everyone no matter what age, race, nationality it really is a great little suburb of Christchurch and probably one of the best small towns in South Island New Zealand, and with a great little bay the other side of the hill called Taylors Mistake, good with the surfers and walkers or for just somewhere nice to relax and chill out with a cold beer or a smooth joint to toke on. I’m an Aussie from Melbourne and I loved the South Island, although 1 week is not enough to take in much of the scenery.

Sumner would be a … Sumner would be a close second comparison to being dropped off at a Russian Gulag in the Siberian Desert on a winter’s day in the nuddie and beat around the bullocks with a piece of 4 by 2 for 18 years. What a warm feeling!
