Mt Hutt is due to open on 13 June this year. I'd leave consider leaving it a little after that to be sure of good snow conditions (in case we have a 'late' or mild winter) – and avoid 4-19 July (school holidays) as it will be more crowded. Skiing is not cheap – but you can save money by getting a package deal and midweek is usually cheaper. You'll probably get the best deals by purchasing as far ahead as you can (early bird season passes are available now until 12 March – don't forget to allow for the time difference ie that may only be til 11 March for you) – check out what you can buy online now (below) – and you can check out some of the other fields, too.
Skiing In New Zealand; Best spots and Snow Season? My Boyfriend and I are planning to do a snowboarding / skiing trip in New Zealand this year.
We are hoping to go to Mt Hutt.
When is the best time to go, is it expensive and should we consider a package rather than buy everythign seperatly.
